​COOL Food Pantry Waukegan
The demand at COOL Food Pantry continues to rise dramatically, with many months serving over 6,000 individuals seeking groceries. Your help is urgently needed to provide meals for thousands of Lake County families this year.
How COOL Food Pantry Works: Visitors receive food tailored to their family size, including prepacked boxes and bags of staples, plus at least 1 pound of frozen meat per family member. Guests can also select from bread, fresh produce, and other items available daily.
Upon arrival, guests take a number and are served in turn. Most visitors complete their visit within 15 minutes.
Volunteers Needed: COOL Food Pantry urgently needs volunteers! Could you help one shift per week distributing food boxes or packing them? Drivers are also needed to operate the pantry truck and pick up groceries.
Volunteer shifts: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 2 PM

Donations Welcome: There are many ways to support COOL:

• Organize a food drive: Scout groups, clubs, and organizations can hold food drives and even compete to collect the most items for the pantry.
• Place collection bins: Churches and businesses can set up bins to encourage donations.
• Monetary donations: Checks can be mailed to COOL Ministries at 800 W. Glen Flora Ave, Waukegan, IL 60085.
