The COOL Pantries would like to thank all the individuals that belong to Curves, Greenwood, Waukegan and Ingleside for their wonderful annual Spring Food Drives. Every spring we have the pleasure of working with these great people. Keep up the good work, we love you!
Spring is here and it is time to start planning your garden. Please keep those we serve in mind, and consider participating in “Plant‐a‐Row for the Hungry”. We had many positive comments from the visitors. Healthy eating is critical for our guests. The fresh fruits and vegetables they receive at the pantry may be the only fresh food they consume all month.
The pantries served 47% more people in 2009 than in 2008. Pantry EAST is open five days per week and served 29,178 individuals, 11,058 families. Pantry WEST is open two days per week and served 8,703 individuals, 2,982 families. Please be a “COOL Angel” and consider holding a food drive to help a Lake County neighbor in need.

If you are located on the western side of Lake County you
may want to visit COOL Pantry WEST. Open Mondays from
1:00- 5:00 pm and Wednesdays from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
and one Saturday per month from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. |
