COOL Pantry EAST is entering its second year sponsoring the COOL Kids Volunteer Experience. Sign up will begin May 1st 2010. Pantry EAST will be hosting the “children’s” experience from June 1st ‐ August 20th. If you would like your child to experience working in the pantry and be a COOL Volunteer, then this is the program for you. The hours of the program will be Tuesday or Thursday from 10am ‐ 11:30am. You may choose two days per month per family. Last year the program was a smashing success and the children had so much fun, I highly recommend it.

Volunteer Oppportunities

Pantry Volunteer I:
Assist Pantry staff with sorting, packaging, and distributing food to visitors.
Pantry Volunteer II:
Assist Pantry staff with unloading truck, moving boxes, and general support for large pick-ups and deliveries. Heavy lifting is required. Times vary.
Unit Prep Crew:
Individuals or groups to assist in preparing housing units for new guests. Times vary based on need. Tasks include cleaning and painting units, lawn care and minor repairs.
